After having won the tournament in doubles last year with her sister, Brenda arrived in Tarbes with a clear goal in her mind: win the singles title.
At only 12 years old, the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy member defeated another member of the Academy – Clervie Ngounoue (USA) – in a thrilling final to take the trophy (6/0, 3/6, 7/5). On her road to the final, she eliminated Nyangon (FRA) (6/1, 6/1), Shoukry (EGY) (7/5, 6/2), Oluwadare (GBR) (6/3, 6/0), Iliev (FRA) (6/7, 6/3, 6/3) and Read (GBR) (6/1, 7/5).
